As it says above, this blog is a monthly review of any
new weight loss plans, programs or products, that take my fancy.

The fact that you are reading this tells me that you are in one of the following groups:-
- You are thinking about starting a weight loss program but are unsure which one to follow.
- You are in a weight loss program and are looking for some motivation to keep going.
- You've tried everything there is and are on the hunt for something new.
- Other. If you are in this group I would be interested to find about it.
Which ever group you are in there are a few facts that you cannot get away from.
- We get our energy from food and drink.
- Energy contained in food is measured in calories.
- Different foods contain different amounts of energy.
- The amount of energy in any particular food is given in calories per 100 grams.
- One food might contain 50 calories per 100g and another might contain 500 calories per 100g.
- On average a person will use between 2000 to 3000 calories per day.
- The body converts excess energy/calories to FAT and stores it.
- Sugar contains high amounts of energy, calories.
- Fat contains twice as much energy as sugar.
- For weight control avoid foods high in both fats and sugars.
- Look at the calorie content per 100g on the food label.
- Choose low energy foods, NOT just low fat foods.
- To lose weight we need to use more calories per day than we consume.
Great; so how do we do that?
“Move more, eat less”. Have you heard that before?
Here’s the good news; it’s true.
Why is that good?
No matter what else you read or hear, there is no getting away from the science; one pound of fat contains 3500 calories.
There are three variables in weight loss
- The amount of calories you consume per day
- The amount of calories you burn at rest, your metabolic rate.
- The amount of exercise you get daily.
If you take in less calories than you use per day you will lose weight.
That's scientific fact.
So what was the purpose of all of the above.
If you are to ever stick with a weight loss program you need to know that it will work.
If there is any doubt in your mind then you will fail.
So get it in your head that weight loss programs work.
Now we have established that you can lose weight, we need to find a way for you to make it happen.
What you really need is inspiration, passion and motivation to get going and keep going until the job is done.

1. Getting Started: Over Coming Procrastination
That’s what I’m here for; I 'm going to help you with that.
How?
Well the first thing I’m going to tell you is that any good diet plan, that suits your lifestyle, will do. Remember I said GOOD diet plan, that is well thought out and fits into your lifestyle.
What do I mean?
Well if you are self disciplined, can keep up a fat burning exercise plan and hate chocolate then:-
THIS PLAN IS NOT FOR YOU
On the other hand if you are not that person read on!
If you really want to lose the extra weight, some of which has been around for years then I suggest you follow this advice:-
Do not wait to read next months review.
Do not wait for your friend to start.
Do not wait until the end of the month.
Do not wait for pay day.
Do not wait until the Summer, Winter, Christmas, your Birthday or New Year.
That’s called procrastination and if you suffer from it you’ll never start.
When should you start?
TODAY: because it’s the first day of the rest of your life.
Is it going to be more of the same, or something completely different?
It's up to you.

2. To Keep Going after the Initial Enthusiasm has Disappeared.
This is determined by several factors
- Do you beleive you can lose weight?
- Are you enjoying the process?
- Does the program fit your lifestyle?
- Are you addressing the underlieing reasons for the weight gain?
- Do you have something in your life that you are passionate about?
- Who are your friends? Do they really want you to lose weight?
- Do you have a support group of people who really want you to succeed?
OK listen, if you try to address everything at once you'll have information over load and will never get started.
I suggest you start now, today, taking massive action is the only way to succeed at anything.
TAKE ACTION!
Once you have started we will address your motivation.

As you can see this is a diet programme aimed a busy women who wish to shed the extra pounds.
Now, I want to make something very clear before we get into this any further.
The difference between one plan and another is your ability to adapt it to your lifestyle.
The plan was written by a busy working mum, a school teacher, who got fed up with her husband being abusive; you'll like this bit, she slimmed down and ditched him.
Well that was motivation if I've ever heard it. lol
